CSC Paddle Sports

Chisholm Ski Club Paddle Sports (CSC Paddle Sports) is a new Club endeavor to promote year-round outdoors and healthy lifestyles within the River Valley area.

CSC’s vision is to encourage, promote, and host recreational summer activities maximizing on the abundant and scenic natural resources within the Upper Androscoggin River watershed. CSC Paddle Sports will evolve into multi-dimensional events over the next five years to include local, regional, and national-caliber paddle sports.

Downriver racing, bi-monthly citizens paddle sports river cruises, spring white water racing on the Swift River, white water rodeo, festivals on the Androscoggin Rumford Lower Falls (Knapp’s Pitch), and white-water beginner and intermediate instructional course are all under consideration.

To kick-off CSC Paddle Sports, CSC will be hosting the first-ever Androscoggin Sprint as part of the Androscoggin Adventure on August 28, 2021, in conjunction with EnvisionRumford. The Sprint will consist of traditional paddle sports racing classifications plus unique local classifications and fun competitions. See Event listings for details.

About EnvisionRumford

EnvisionRumford is a grassroots community group that began in 2013. In 2021, there is a new change of directors, a new membership drive, new advertising and fundraising campaign, and developing amazing plans to better our Rumford community, and many new and exciting events coming to summer and fall of 2021.

The New Envision Mission: To collectively bring the community and all businesses together while enhancing Rumford as a whole and bring new events and community fundraisers. Our goal is to encourage new memberships and communication to local businesses to become “supporters not competitors” between all town businesses. Also, to discuss cross promotions between businesses, sales ideas, advertising, new business development, parking, cleanup, and more. We want to expand the EnvisionRumford reach to other business districts in the area to make it inclusive for all businesses, not just downtown.
