The Kindness Keepers for Hallie nonprofit is thrilled to host the first annual Hallie’s Hustle 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 23rd at 9am. Join us at Black Mountain of Maine located in Rumford where runners and walkers will toe the line to enjoy a scenic 5K trail followed by a ½ mile kids fun run beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the event there will be an awards ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge the top finishers. There will be ample parking at the event. Registration will be $25 per person, $35 day of the race.

Hallie’s Hustle honors 9 years old Hallie Oldham’s legacy who passed away in 2022. Hallie loved trail running. Proceeds from Hallie’s Hustle will go to Kindness Keepers for Hallie, a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness through the communities in Maine in Hallie’s honor. Your contributions will help the non-profit continue to provide scholarships for local high school seniors, sponsor children with necessities, fund free holiday family events and fund community events throughout the state. Join us as we come together to honor Hallie’s legacy and afford us the opportunity to continue to spread kindness throughout the state.

The course will be on the famous John Roderick trails, site of national championship cross country skiing races. The course will consist of two laps around a 2.5k trail. Racers will begin in the Chisholm Ski Club stadium and head out on the course. When returning to the stadium on the first lap, racers will veer up the hill to the right, circle around and through the stadium, and complete the second lap. At the end of the second lap, racers will stay to the left when approaching the stadium, completing the race at the finish line.
