Zach Ross led a balanced Quarry Road Ski Team with a victory in the 2023 Sassi Memorial Classical 5k
at Black Mountain of Maine on Saturday, January 28. Ross earned the gold, crossing the finish line in 13:58.5. Gould Academy skiers took the next two medals, with Eli Shifrin taking silver with a time of 14:04.6, while Ellis Slover earned the final podium position, finishing in 14:15.
Also in the top 10 were Ben Condit, Abraham Giessinger, and Beckett Cote of Quarry Road, Henri McCourt of Mt. Blue, Parker Nellis of Gould Academy, Logan Ouelette of Leavitt HS, and Tait Harvey of Greely HS.
