Haley Brewster of the University of Vermont captured the gold in the Women’s Eastern Cup 10k freestyle
race at Black Mountain of Maine of Saturday, January 14th. Brewster’s time was 27:34.4. Crossing the finish line second was Belmont, Massachusetts native Shea Brams of Middlebury, who had a time of 27:47.5. Third place went to two-time US Olympian Caitlin Patterson of Craftsbury with a time of 28:04.7.
The races continue on Sunday with the 1.2k Classical Sprint beginng at 9:00 am with the men's races. The women are scheduled to begin at 9:45 am.
