Jordan Fields, skiing for Lyme Elite out of Lyme, New Hampshire, captured gold at the 9th annual John Roderick Marathon race, completing the 25k race in 38:12.1 at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford on Saturday, February 13. Fields scorched the 5 lap race nearly 5 minutes ahead of runner-up Nick Trautz of Hebron, Maine. Trautz crossed the finish line in 43.08.8. Third place went to Gaelan Boyle-Wight of Newry, ME, who finished in 43:08.8. Keith Kantack of Freeport came in fourth with a time of 43:19.2. Fifth and sixth places went to Spencer Egan and Dennis Page, respectively.
In the 15k freestyle, Samuel Robinson of Freeport won the men's race with a time of 47:14.0. Second place went to Felix Battle of Brunswick, who had a time of 49:40.4. Skiing for the Bethel Outing Club, Peter Howe crossed the line in 52:48.3 to take third place.
The women's 15k was a dead heat, with Jillian Wight and Jane Dawson, both of Freeport, each finishing with times of 58:38.8. Finishing in third place was UMaine Farmintgon's Francis Mullein, who had a time of 1:08:40.3
