Katharine Ogden, a Dartmouth sophomore from Landgrove, Vermont, won the final women's EISA nordic race of the season, crossing the finish line in 42:48.7 to win the 15k Classical race at Black Mountain in Rumford. Ogden bested a field of 61 skiers to capture the gold in these races, which were the NCAA Regional Championships. Finishing in second place was Odgen's teammate Lauren Jortberg with a time of 43:55.1. Taking third place was Anna Bizyukova, a University of Vermont sophomore from Nolinks, Russia, who crossed the finish line in 43:
The women made 3 laps around the famous Ray's 5k loop, which included 3 trips up "High School" hill. Other top ten finishers were Margie Freed of UVM, Lina Sutro of UVM, Lydia Blanchet of Dartmouth, Renae Anderson of Bowdoin, Annika Landis of Middlebury, Leah Brams of Dartmouth, and Taryn Hunt-Smith of Dartmouth.
Rumford native Stephanie Nicols, a freshman at St. Lawrence University, finished 28th in a field of 61 skiers.
