chisholm logo 72hMarch 13, 2018: Last week, we were sweating holding the event with snow melting in front of our eyes. I am sitting here now trying to figure out a grooming plan for the first race this Friday. We are getting dumped on again so we can check off the worry about the snow. 14 inches last week and 18 more expected today and tomorrow.

Just a few house keeping issues to make your stay the best we can deliver. Base lodge will be open and with the new snow will be very busy with recreational skiers. When changing please make sure to store your gear in the cubbies and not on tables or under. A short walk across the bridge will bring you to your wax cabins where you can lock your gear and keep warm. Please do not haul your gear across the track which will be set up for the race.

I am sure some of you with trailers will use the spill over parking lot to set up. Make yourself at home but please park as tight as you can so we can fit everyone. This is also a great place for your parents to tailgate for their teams. Remember that no tailgating is allowed in the base lodge or on either side. Those that try to set up in lodge will be kindly asked to move out. Another great place is in front of the Comp Center that has power outside. Pop ups and crock pots work out well in this area.

We are planning for a warm up area along with the open course. With the new snow, we will let you know the location at the team leaders meeting. Remember one representative per state at the Team Leaders meeting and lunch will be provided.

Race headquarters is your place to go for all your information needs, bib pick up, lost and found, course maps and banquet tickets.

I do hope that you pass this information on to your athletes and their parents. With your help, we can make this the best event ever.
