Olivia Rand outskied a field of 19 skiers to take top honors in a women's High School Giant Slalom race at Black Mountain on February 12th. Rand, a junior who skis for John Bapst, had runs of 32..38 and 31.92 for a two-run total of 1:04.30. Taking second place was Rosie St. Cyr at 1:04.94. Jaden Boulanger took third with a 1:05.07. Rounding out the top six were Gabbie Gallant, Bella Devivo, and Courtney Larsen.
In the men's race, Jacob Tyler had times of 30.61 and 29.48 (1:00.09) to capture gold. Second place went to Mario Devivo with a combined time of 1:00.82. Connor Brann finished third with a 1:02.19 combined time. The next three spots were Nick Bancroft (1:02.44), Evan O'Donnell (1:03.88) and Jack Gilbert (1:05.16).
